when does the fluid retention go away?
hi,
i had my baby last saturday and i’ve already seen a dramatic change in my stomach area (dang near as flat as i was pre-baby) but i’m wondering when does the water retention in my legs go away? i know that i only gave birth 5 days ago, i’m not trying to rush anything, it’s just something i was wondering about.
so how long after birth did you notice you weren’t as puffy anymore?

For me it took a few weeks..ugh..but it does go away, especially if you drink A LOT of water. If you were put on pitocin to help speed labor , then that gives you alot of water retention as a side effect. That and the IV!
