the pill (microgynon) and fluid retention?
I have recently started taking the contraceptive pill again and it has caused me a lot of fluid retention around my hips and stomach which feels really uncomfortable. Does anyone know if this side effect will pass or if it will stay for as long as I take the pill?

I know that some forms of birth control whether it’s the pill or something else have that side affect. I know when I went on the shot (depo) I gained about 20lbs in about three months. It’s because of the horomones that are in the birth control. I am not completely sure if the side affects stay as long as you’re on the pill or not. I know the pill I am on doesn’t make you gain weight due to fluid retention. It just all depends on the birth control. I would talk to your doctor about this and what you can do about it.
