why does my mother urinate so bad , with only one 80 miligram lasix?
she had chf, and used to take 80 miligrams in the morning with spirialactone and again in the afternoon. She would gain weight over night form the chf. Now she is down to one 80 lasix, and nothing else, and she wets pad after pad, and cant stop going top the bathroom. She is 81. Now she is so weak, sick to her stomach, and her doctor knows all this, but does nothing. She has cirosis, diabetis , and is losing more weight every day. Foryears she took 160 miligrams of lasix and one spirialactone, and now she only needs one 80. and even that is toooooooooooooo much help, ! someone in the medical field

You need to talk to her dotor and find out. CHF is a progressive disease. Maybe it’s just worse now and she retains fluid more than before. The other thing is that she should be on a fluid restriction. Generally they say 2 liters of water per day max. The other thing is her diet. Many a patient has come into the hospital with a CHF exacerbation after eating a nice ham. Salt should be completely avoided.
